Larissa Korporaal is a Dutch filmmaker based in Amsterdam after living in the US, Denmark, Romania, Bangladesh and China. Her first film is known for its poetic visual and narrative style. Graduated from Amsterdam Film School she is motivated by social injustice and inequality.

But most of all she looks for what binds us all, like the universal need to be heard, seen and loved.

When looking at the world, Larissa is fascinated by details. Extreme close-ups give glimpses of the whole without revealing it. Her dreams are an inspiration to create a world where anything is possible and where poetic images can evoke emotion.
